Study of Carbon / Peek Composite Finite Element as an Alternative to Bone Prosthesis
In the field of studying finite element composites as an alternative to titanium and steel prostheses, a great deal of research has been done, including the thesis of Engineer Farshid Rezaei, which in fact simulates this model under static conditions and writes finite element equations. And the result was good model performance under static conditions. But the first history of composite use goes back to 1988. In this work, the use of composite was first mentioned. In 2005 and 2007, different designs for prosthesis based on peek composite were investigated, respectively, and the results were based on optimized designs for the prosthetic root. In 2011, carbon fiber was analyzed in a new model for this procedure. Who have proposed a new way to perform composite prostheses. In all of these methods, more static loading has been studied.
The purpose of this study was to develop a method for structural analysis of orthopedic implants. The main argument is that the distribution of dynamic loading and stress testing in the context of the model have significant advantages in our ability to design these devices. These results can also be applied to the pelvis, for example. The finite element method has been used as a structural analysis tool. The validity, accuracy of the results were compared with previous experimental and finite element studies. Prediction of bone stress has also been given for different prosthetic designs in the region of the artificial hip joint where bone adhesion leads to fracture.
This study is divided into two parts according to the type of loading. In this regard, the stress field in hip components is statistically analyzed and is dynamically evaluated for implant lifetime. In this in-person analysis, all simulations are performed assuming peak loads during normal walking at a specific time (static loads). So far, models have been developed to predict stress throughout the hip joint, which have focused more on the static problem and the dynamics have been examined in detail, indicating the necessity of this research at national level. This may be due to all the statistical pre-clinical simulations, and finally the results of dynamic loading in the composite design of this femoral replacement model are presented in general.
